David Cook 

David has lived in North Yorkshire and the Redcar Cleveland area, originally from a small village with a strong community spirit. After leaving school David worked for 20 years in the engineering department of a local public transport company. 

After leaving his career in the public transport industry David went on to run his own vehicle repair business, after which David went on to work for the local authority in the road safety department delivering cycle and pedestrian training in primary schools along with taking part in road safety road shows.

Working in school brought the sense of community back from his own childhood days, which lead onto the formation of Cyclemaster Pedals 4 All CIC.

 

Marguerite Brydon

 

Marguerite lived in the Redcar Cleveland area as a child, giving her an excellent knowledge of the local area and communities within the area. 

After leaving school Marguerite moved to Bedfordshire were she spent 20 years working in care. In this time Marguerite worked with a wide range of people, mostly working with groups who had severe learning and physical disabilities.

After returning home Marguerite went on to work for the local authority in the road safety department delivering cycle and pedestrian training in primary schools along with taking part in road safety road shows. 

Marguerites work in care and local schools give her a very strong interest in the community. This sense of helping the community lead her to become a director of Cyclemaster Pedals 4 All.

 
Phil Sylvester

Phil lives in the Redcar and Cleveland area and was a police officer for thirty years.  Since his retirement, he has been a tutor in Further Education for almost ten years at Middlesbrough College. Phil currently works part-time for the Redcar Adult Development Centre as an ICT Tutor teaching IT to adults in various community venues.
Phil met our team during a Family Learning ‘Build a Bike’ course and enjoyed it so much he agreed to join the team.  As a keen cyclist, this not only keeps him fit but allows him to share his knowledge and enjoyment with members of the public at various Cyclemaster courses and events.  

David, Marguerite and Phil are developing the company so they can help small projects and as the company grows will be able to help larger projects
